ZenBlink Roadmap
This public roadmap tracks improvements for ZenBlink releases. Completed entries describe finished work; release timing may vary.
Version 3.0.2
Smooth Sequencer Face Section Transitions
Prevent sudden head movement when a Face animation section ends while the Sequencer timeline continues playing.
Status: Completed
ZenDyn Integration Reliability
Improve reliability when using ZenBlink independently or alongside ZenDyn across all supported Unreal Engine versions.
Status: Completed
Live Link And Sequencer Facial Animation
Improve ARKit and MetaHuman Animator compatibility while preserving incoming lip-sync and head movement. Fix an issue where playing an animation in Sequencer could suppress ZenBlink’s procedural facial animation, including small eye movements.
Status: Completed
Reliable Project Startup
Improve startup reliability so ZenBlink animation Blueprints load correctly when opening a project, including C++ projects.
Status: Completed
Version 3.0.1
Smooth Use Head Movement Transitions
Improve transitions when Use Head Movement is enabled or disabled. The head and neck will blend smoothly between procedural movement and the incoming animation instead of snapping or briefly springing back to the underlying pose.
Status: Completed
Coordinated Random Head And Eye Tracking
When Movement Mode is set to Random, the eyes will use Follow Target mode and follow the same generated target as the head. This avoids conflicting independent random eye and head directions while leaving Eye Mode available for manual adjustment afterward.
Status: Completed
Production-Safe Engine Dependencies
Remove ZenBlink’s reliance on beta or experimental Epic plugins. ZenBlink will compile, cook, and package in production pipelines where these plugins are disabled or excluded, while preserving the existing animation behavior.
Status: Completed
Improved ZenDyn 2.0.0 Integration
Improve compatibility between ZenBlink and ZenDyn 2.0.0, providing more reliable shared facial animation and a cleaner combined workflow in preparation for the ZenDyn 2.0.0 release.
Status: Completed
Reliable Character Targeting
Improve Target Component reliability in crowded scenes and during character initialization. Eye-level targets remain stable, existing Target Component setups remain compatible, and temporary fallback behavior no longer creates elevated gaze points.
